this is long, so grab a drink and a snack and maybe a kleenex.....
yet, i want to make sure that god is the one who gets the glory in every moment of our adoption. this is all him. every part of it. even these spoken words i/we just shared. they are his. and even though i may have preferred that he didn't wake me up at 3 am with those words, i am grateful for them. these words are allowing others to hear our hearts and understand the whole story behind what we are doing.
after reading this verse.....
mathew 5:16
let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your father in heaven.
i knew that god gave us these words and is asking us to share in this journey, so that others may see him!
now, lets bring makai's little brother or sister home.....we are excited!! we will be back to answer all kinds of questions about the process, why we chose lesotho, why it takes so long to bring these sweet children home and whatever else we can think of. until then, i ask that you add our family to your prayers as international adoption can be slow and full of uncertainties....thank you, thank you, thank you!!
I'm so happy for you, Nate and Makai. The story of your family is beautiful and I am blessed to have you as part of mine. Love you always.

DeleteHi Amanda,
ReplyDeleteJessica Krul sent me the link to your blog and I was touched by your story. We have a similar story and have experienced multiple heartbreaking losses, but also the roller-coaster and joy of adoption (our daughter came home from Ethiopia in 2012). Best of luck on your journey and we will keep you in our prayers!
Andrea
