we rode lots of rides where makai carried around his flashlight to shield himself from the darkness.
we rode dumbo and the magic carpets and we were sure to ride every train we could find.
makai wanted nothing to do with mickey, pluto or donald duck. but those guys with the big mickey hands were his best friends.
we brushed the goats
watched the magic kingdom parade
ate lots of yummy food
and got ourselves back to the hotel each night before dark and before we could see our own breath.
we spent a couple days visiting good friends,
eating, chatting, playing at the park and checking out the fireworks.
we drove over to avon park for some much needed family time
and makai finally got the chance to meet his great grandma "g.g"
he took to her instantly. like he had known her forever and it made our hearts happy.
makai played in the rain , picked oranges, played with cousins , rode great papa's scooter and went to church with g.g.
we took a visit to the swamp to look for gators and when the stoller got stuck on the narrow path that sits just inches about the water....well, that's when nate's phone went swimming in the swamp and also where we lost lots and lots of disney pictures. so sad.
we even took flowers to great papa where makai looked up to heaven and waved " hi papa".
back at g.g.'s makai got to enjoy a little lunch with papa, thanks to the picture g.g. thought to bring out for him.
we ended the week with a little swimming some more yummy food from downtown disney and one last train ride.
usually by the end of vacation i am home sick and ready to sleep in my own bed.
on this vacation i didn't miss home once.
i wanted to stay right where we were, having too much fun as a family.... forever and ever and ever.
