winter blues

Today, in a effort to escape the winter blues,

we rode the horsey at Meijer,

saw the fishies, birdies and kittens at the pet store,

played with toys at the library (too much excitement to actually read a book)

and got some snacks from the local bakery.

Take that winter blues!!

I was actually planning on getting a fish for Makai,

because he always wants to stop and see the fishies at the grocery store,

but the guy at the pet store made me feel like I was buying a dog.

I thought buying a little fish was simple.

I thought we could just take it home in a little plastic bag

and stick it in a pretty little fish bowl,

guess not...

so we said "goodbye" to the fishies and went on our way.

This was our first time at the library.

Makai has just started showing more interest in books.

There was a lot going on so we didn't actually read...

I mean, how can you focus on a book with this cool catapillar!

This was our first visit to the bakery down the street.

The lady at the counter gave us all these donuts,

as a welcome to the neighborhood gift!

Goodbye bikini...these donuts were delish!
