the gift of sleep

     Your Mommy is soo very proud of you for sleeping like a big boy in you very own bed. I did love snuggling you at night and I do miss your sweet little face tucked into my shoulder. But I don't miss waking up every hour from reinserting your binkie or  helping you get back to sleep or getting kicked in the gut :) You are one active little boy, even in your sleep! You cried pretty hard for about an hour the first couple nights and Mommy cried right along with you. I wanted to pick you up and hold you and snuggle you back to sleep. I kept going in to check on you and kiss you and tell you that you were going to be OK. Then you went to sleep and you slept..and you kept on sleeping. The last few nights you have slept 10-11 hours without even waking up one time. You are such a big boy. You are growing so fast. You make me cry just thinking about how quickly your changing. It makes me happy to see you growing and learning but sometimes I cry at the thought of the day when you will no longer fit in my lap or let me give you big kisses. I love you my boy. I love you sooo much!! Oh and thanks for all the sleep! I will always remember that for your first Christmas you gave Mommy one awesome gift.....the gift of sleep :)
