when he taps you on the shoulder

3.30.2014

this morning i had a headache that has been lingering for days now and i allllmost didn't make it to church. as i was getting ready i started randomly thinking about micah 6:8 - he has shown you, o mortal, what is good. and what does the Lord require of you? to act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your god.

when we got to church there were all kinds of booths set up for "celebration of hope" week at our church. these booths are set up to educate others on how they can make a lasting difference in the lives of those who are struggling against poverty in africa, asia and latin america.

as we talked with someone from faith comes by hearing (they provide digital recordings of the bible in more than 1,000 languages so millions of people are able to hear the gospel in their own native language. this is great tool for the 50% of the world who cannot read) we got on the topic of our adoption  and the three weeks we will be spending in lesotho ( whenever that day comes).

and guess what.....they are going to give us a "proclaimer", a solar powered digital playback device to take with us so to africa so that those in lesotho can hear the bible in their own native language, sotho!

then, as we were worshiping the worship leader opened his bible to... micah 6:8 and there we were singing about the verse that had been placed on my heart this morning.

i love that in those times when god starts to feel a bit distant and you are wondering where he is, he taps you on the shoulder and says...i'm right here.
