"i'm gonna make, i'm gonna cook", that's what makai says when he's cooking in the kitchen....

this morning, i  got out a few bowls, utensils and a couple boxes of noodles and let makai go to town cooking on the kitchen floor. i did ask that he help clean up. he thinks sweeping the "messy" off the floor is the best part. there are still some noodles on the floor at this very moment. i just knew he would be upset if he came back to sweep some more later and they were all gone, so for now i continue to walk around with noodles stuck to the bottom of my feet because that little smile right there is the best part of my day!

we got a package in the mail yesterday. makai loves getting packages. he always repeats the word "happy" as he opens them ( i guess opening packages reminds him of his "happy" birthday, thanks to couple birthday cards he got in the mail) .these are our new wool dryer balls, an alternative to dryer sheets. they worked really great in the laundry, that is, once makai had his fill of them. i thought they would be really loud but i was pleasantly surprised.

who needs a sand box when you have this big dirt pile in the back yard. makai is always asking to "play dirt".

love this man. he works so hard for our family and is a great daddy! i live for little moments like this. by the way, he does.not.like. black and white photos or any photo without natural color for that matter but this momma needed her hair dyed months ago so black and white it is.
