the weekend

This weekend we wandered through Chicago, yet again. We found ourselves in the lovliest park with a zoo and a conservatory. All we had to do was pay for parking and we were free to explore everything else...so much fun. Makai is never happier than when he is free to roam and explore, just like his daddy.

We also went on the hunt for the Worlds Famous Chocolate outlet store.
We ended up in a little town that was straight out of Mexico.
There were men at the red lights...selling cotton candy and t- shirts.
We felt our car shaking as we sat on the old bridges.
We mistook the actual chocolate factory for the store.
But in the end, we found it....
and loaded up on the yummiest fundraiser chocolate there ever was!
I laughed the whole time wondering what we got ourselves into.
Nate was a little grumpy about the adventure.
He just doesn't understand the importance of chocolate like I do.
Yet, he did it for me and I love him for it!
