what's on mommies phone

4.13.2011

Today I was looking through my phone at the many pictures I have taken over the last few weeks....It has been a long few weeks for us and now more than ever I am remembering why I keep this little blog of ours. I keep it for my little boy and for our family so if we want we can look back on all these memories one day and laugh and cry and maybe even poke fun at how random Mommy can be :)

So with that said here is a glimpse of what's been going on the last few weeks....
people watching at meijer...yes he's a people watcher just like his mommy
on our way back from our walk to the thrift store where makai got some" new" books
fast asleep in grammie's arms
nate showing dad his cnc machine ( he built this machine to use for his thesis project)
dad loved it and nate loved showing it off
makai liked the cnc machine too...you can see the amazement in his cute little face
nate getting ready to paint
dad scrapping ice off the big "rock" for nates mural
nate hard at work.
we lost someone very special a few weeks ago. one of nate's very good friends passed away in a car accident. he left behind a beautiful wife and 2 beautiful baby girls.eric was a one of a kind, amazing person and nate wanted to paint this memorial in his honor. he was so nervous the entire time because he wanted it to be perfect...and it was. eric would have loved it! You have to understand that painting and drawing is like therapy for nate. he wasn't just painting a rock.....he was telling his friend that he loved him, that he missed him, that he meant the world to him. he wanted to show eric how much he cared and this was his way.....a way that eric would have completely understood.
washing windows....i just keep taking random pics of him
makai's first trip to ikea...he didn't know what to think
just the 3 of us watching tv
the cutest boy in the world eating spoons from the dishwasher...yummy
he loves daddy's chin. he really does. he even tries to eat it.
scrub a dub dub
mom and dad brought me a nugrape pop....only the very best.
the bright pink dinosaur shoes on clearance at old navy that i wanted for makai..... but his feet were too big
back at daddy's space...protecting his ears from the loud machine. i loved how his head gear squished his cheeks and made them even more kissable
swinging at the park
sitting in the big boy swing with mommy...our favorite past time
i love these chubby little fingers
me and my baby boy and yes i alter every picture taken of me when i haven't done my hair for the day :)
