little teeth or lack there of

I LOVE this toothless grin, I really really do....

BUT.....

the teething ohhh the teething! It seems to have just snuck up on us overnight. For a long time now Makai has been drooling lots ( kind of like how Mommy gets when she sees a big bowl of ice cream) and sucking on his hands. Then in just the last few days Makai has been chewing on EVERYTHING ( he even chews on the nipple of his bottle), goes from happy baby to crying lots and lots and LOTS , is just plain IRRITABLE at different times throughout the day and has been waking up at 3 and 4 am! Maybe it wouldn't be so bad if my life at the moment didn't consist of Motrin 800 and heating pads ( 2 things that will actually make you consider getting pregnant again so soon)! We have tried teethers, fingers, cream, washcloths....tonight I am going out to get the ever so popular Sophie teething giraffe and look for some other all natural baby products that might help relieve some of this poor little boys discomfort! I have moments where I want to pull my hair out, then I realize how bad he must feel! Looks like it is going to be a long few months but maybe it will get better ( once I get to ditch the heating pad).....
