"Babymoon" to NYC

4.15.2010

Nate and I decided to take one last trip together before our little boy enters the world. Nate has always talked about wanting to go to New York so just a couple weeks ago we did a little last minute planning. We had such a good time! We took over 500 pictures but here is a glimpse of our trip.
This is our little room at the Hudson Hotel. Just a couple blocks from Central Park.
It was small but cozy.
The tiny bathroom that you can see right from the bed.
Nate being silly at FAO Schwarz toy store.
Playing the piano...I think baby keller would like this toy!!
Beautiful Central Park!
We took a rickshaw ride through Central Park so we could see more of it.
Nate and I by the Waterfall where they filmed the opening of Friends...only the best show ever!!
The truck ruins the pic...they were filming a show in the park.
This is for you Mom. Look familiar? They tapped part of you got mail in this spot.

The big building in the back was used for Ghostbusters and the smaller one next to it was used for Miracle on 34th st. ohhh and can you tell he loves me :)
They had Carriage rides through the park too but I don't care for the smell of horse poo.

We enjoyed every part of the trip but one of our favorites was going to the taping of the Jimmy Fallon show. You could even see us in the audience when the show aired that night. We were so tired that day that we went to bed and set the the alarm for 12:30 so we could wake back up to watch it :)

We went through The Guggenheim Museum. Built by one of Nate's favorite architects.
Time Sqaure! We were walking around after dinner one night and ended up in Time Square without even meaning to. We walked for over an hour looking for dinner in the neighboring blocks...if only we had known Time Square was right around the corner.
We did a lot of shopping and eating in Time Square!
We walked, took taxis, and even rode the Subway. There was just so much to see.
The Statue of Liberty. We didn't get very close. It was day 3, it was freezing cold and we were beat.

Little Italy! We visited here after a shopping trip to Soho.

the best Lemon Ice ever from Little Italy. I wish I could have had this stuff throughout my pregnancy!!
Fish Market in China Town. Soooo gross!! They have these everywhere. Not a good place for pregnant women that's for sure.

Visiting the site of the Twin Towers.

Pinkberry ( frozen yogurt with your choice of toppings) !! It was delicious. Our favorite was the Mango. We had this a couple times since it was right outside out hotel.

There were bakery's on every corner! I guess in New York you can eat more of this stuff since you walk it all off anyways :) There were lots of fruit stands too which was pretty neat.

We ate at Bubba Gump shrimp co. They had the best hush puppies on the planet. Dad, you would have LOVED them!

I liked the signs they used so you can get your waiters attention.

They have Ice Skating at Rockefeller Center. It was 65 and sunny, too funny.

Looking at Central Park from the top of Rockefeller Center.

Nate looking at the Empire State Building from the top of the Rockefeller Center.

My new scarf from the streets of China Town.

We really enjoyed our Babymoon but not as much as we will enjoy our baby boy! Only 14 more weeks!!
