Today I read a lot about Hannah from the old testament (1 Samuel chapters 1& 2). Nate and I have been having difficulty conceiving and I found comfort in Hannah's story as she also struggled with infertility. I was reminded that in the midst of our struggles and despair we must look to God. It was when "Hannah stood up" (Samuel 1:9) and poured out her soul to Lord (Samuel 1:15) she was blesses with a son, Samuel.
I love this verse from Hannah's prayer-Samuel 2:2
"There is no one holy like the Lord;
there is no one besides you;
there is no Rock like our God."
This whole situation may be out of my control but I can still stand up in prayer and trust that God is in control.
